Cirque Du Joy – Reset the Dial: The Women’s Resilience Centre’s Most Critical Fundraising Event

The Women’s Resilience Centre is proud to announce Cirque Du Joy – Reset the Dial, during Vivid Sydney for our most important annual fundraising event, taking place this year to support our mission of breaking the devastating cycle of domestic abuse in Australia. With only 1% government funding, we rely entirely on the goodwill of the community and corporate Australia to sustain our work and provide essential support services for women and families recovering from trauma.
Cirque Du Joy is more than just a night out—it is a celebration of joy after the toughest of days, a beacon of hope, and a reminder that recovery is not just about overcoming hardship but also about reclaiming life’s joyful moments. You will hear stories of recovery, resilience and inspiration.
An Unforgettable Night of Joy and Connection
This joy-filled gala will be an unforgettable evening featuring an extraordinary line-up of speakers, performers, and media ambassadors. The night will be hosted by Australia’s leading speaker, Robyn Moore AM, and supported by award-winning journalists Tracey Spicer and Juanita Phillips. We are also honoured to have esteemed Authors and Ambassadors Mike Munro, Tom Carroll, Lisa Mcadams, Stephenie Rodriguez, Daniel Principe and Graeme Cowan lending their voices to this critical cause.
The Women’s Resilience Centre’s primary mission is resetting and rebuilding lives. They see a future where all women and families impacted by domestic abuse and trauma are supported to recover, build resilience and thrive.
The evening will open with a breath-taking opening performance by the Indigenous Children’s Dance Group, Dhinawan Yarn and Entertainment setting the tone for a night of celebration, resilience, and community. Circus performers will dazzle guests upon arrival, creating a vibrant atmosphere of wonder and joy.
Why Joy Matters
Joy is a fundamental human right. It is more than just a fleeting emotion—it is a state of mind that fosters resilience, fulfilment, and contentment. In the journey of recovery from domestic abuse and trauma, joy must be reclaimed. Trauma is not just about the bad days lost but also about the good days missed. By celebrating joy, we strengthen social bonds, empower survivors, and restore the wholeness of life.
How to Support the Cause
The Women’s Resilience Centre invites individuals, corporations, and philanthropists to stand with us in resetting the dial on domestic abuse. Last year we supported 507 women in 163 regions of Australia with capability building programs, employment readiness, Financial Resilience, Mentors and a safe centre and shop for support. We rely on this annual event to support our funding.
Cirque Du Joy is an opportunity to contribute to a future where every survivor has access to the support, resources, and community needed to rebuild their lives and helps break the intergenerational cycle of abuse. Stop Domestic Abuse in Australia.
Join us for a night to remember and be a part of a movement that transforms pain into empowerment and despair into joy.
